Calling all Mercer Island families! Mark your calendars for a day of unforgettable fun at MIPA's legendary Circus! Join us on April 25th, 2025 for an exciting event designed for kids aged 1-11.
More Than Just a Show: It's an Island Tradition!
MIPA's Circus is a beloved island tradition that brings the community together. It's not just a show to watch, it's a hands-on experience where kids can move around, play, and make memories.
Over 20 Games and Activities!
We'll have a variety of fun games for toddlers and kids of all ages, from classic favorites like Pig Races and Bat-A-Box to the thrilling Dizzy's Tumblebus.
Plus:
- Bouncy houses to jump around in
- Face painting and balloon animals for creative fun
- A chance to climb and explore with the City of Mercer Island's Touch A Truck program, the MISD electric bus, and a fire truck with firefighters ready to answer questions
Live Entertainment and Island Talent:
Be amazed by the Reptile Lady and a talented magician. Cheer on local performers showcasing their skills in dance, soccer, martial arts, and more – including the MIHS Sparkle Cheer team!
Yummy Food and Treats:
Fuel up for all the fun with delicious food trucks and a never-ending supply of cotton candy and popcorn!

History
MIPA’s Circus began in 1966 as a Dr. Seuss-inspired carnival called Circus McGurkus for the children of Mercer Island. Since then, it has grown into a festival that attracts hundreds of families from all over Seattle and the Eastside.
